We aren’t a traditional market, or a local craft fair or art exhibition… we are different. We are small business supporting small businesses! We want to change the way people shop & explore all the indie makers that exist right on our doorstep. We had over 40 makers, artists, designers and small businesses take part last weekend and I can’t wait until the next event. So much small business success is determined by the people you surround yourself with. I’m so fortunate to have such amazing craftspeople as part of Folk & Bespoke, who bring heaps of positivity to my events! I’m constantly inspired by your passion, drive and creativity and it’s so lovely getting to know each and every one of you. Here’s how our events have unfolded so far.
The winter solstice is the shortest day and the longest night of the year and an event that’s well worth celebrating. If you’ve never done anything special to mark the date before, why not try one of my ideas to help you bring a little light into that darkness?
During the winter months, we all need that little extra TLC. Flu, colds and sickness bugs are rife and with those illnesses come aches and pains. However, you needn’t have to suffer. Whether you’re battling a winter bug or you’re just feeling a little tired and rundown, aromatherapy and essential oils can help. Found within some of my scented candles, and other types of skincare and body-care products, here’s some tips and ideas of power products to sort you out!
Autumn is such a beautiful, romantic time of year. Most of us have very clear ideas about what should fill those long fall days. What does autumn look and feel like to you?
Taking a mindful approach to gift giving is less about the gifts themselves and more about the thought behind them. It is about bringing thought and care to what we are giving, to the person we are giving to, and to the act of giving itself. When it comes to gifting, this might look like shopping locally or it could mean gifting a virtual service. It could look like gifting generously financially or it could mean offering our love, attentiveness, or service.
Hygge (pronounced Hoo-guh or Hoo-ga)…ever googled it before? I certainly have as it seems to be a bit of a buzz word of late.
I’m feeling the chill and gradually forgetting the warm Ceret sunshine that I was lucky enough to indulge in and miss so much. I think we all need a bit of hygge in our lives, as these chilly Autumnal mornings and evenings creep in.
