Ware Priory

Ware Priory was founded in 1338. It is a building that has, for 700 years, served as a focal point for the community and the town of Ware. In turn it has been a friary, a house and a convalescent hospital and now serves as both the offices of Ware Town Council and as a venue for weddings, conferences, events and banqueting. Ware Priory is itself is a Grade I listed building which has a distinctive choice of individual character rooms named after significant people in the history of the building. Painstakingly restored in the mid-1990s, some of the original building materials, including wattle and daub, stonework and Victorian murals have been uncovered and preserved as features of interest.
Adjacent to Ware Priory is Fletcher’s Lea, built in 2006. It offers a bright and contemporary atmosphere for our events.

The tranquil surroundings of both buildings, situated within seven acres of picturesque riverside gardens, provide a beautiful and relaxed setting for any event whether it be a traditional, historical or contemporary one.
Ware is in East Hertfordshire, four miles from the county town of Hertford. It is served by the A10 and A414 and is only a 15-minute drive from both the M25 and M11.

Sawbridgeworth Village Hall

Offering stunning views of Midhurst’s South Pond, The Grange is a charming event space which has become a central pillar of the local community.
