Hi everyone, my name is Sophie, the owner of Paintings by SB. I’m 29 years old and alongside this I am currently also a full time Secondary School Art Teacher. I studied Fine Art at university for four years where my discipline was painting. Since leaving I have always painted for fun but in 2018, with the encouragement of my partner, Paintings by SB was created. Back then I only focused on hand painted acrylic pet portraits, until August of 2021 where I introduced digital portraits and prints. Since then Paintings by SB has continually expanded to include a variety of different items that I hope you all love. I am a huge animal lover, ever since being a child I have always been fascinated by wildlife and always longed for my own pet- we now have two cockatiels, Pepper and Echo, and a dog, Willow. Yes, our house is crazy but we wouldn’t have it any other way! I love being able to draw and paint all of your wonderful pets, it honestly brings me so much joy! Plus it means I get to look at so many cute animals every week. I hope that you enjoy browsing through the products I have to offer. Customisation is something that is very important to me and my brand, I want every order to be personal to the customer, to create one off pieces that are special to that person.
